Sound video feedback and learner response

1) Type up your feedback from your teacher.

*The opening is superb-edited to the beat, clearly works as parallel and a good selection of clips.
*
Parallel section worked brilliantly - fantastic pace to the soundtrack and the video editing. Some felt almost edited to the beat which shows how parallel the Music and images were.

2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarise key points if several students give you similar feedback.
WWW:
*Music matches with first few videos, good parallel.

*Brilliant action scenes good editing- edited unclear contrapuntal, fit too well.

*Good use of parallel sound.

*Contrapuntal fit  well with tom and Jerry

EBI:

The contrapuntal section didn't work quite so effectively - two different ideas but neither as quite flited as a contrapuntal effect. I wonder if the music didn't lend itself to contrapuntal video?

Unclear what the contrapuntal is.

3) Now reflect on your work and write your own evaluation of your video. Write a 'What went well' (WWW) paragraph and a paragraph for 'Even Better If' (EBI) underneath the rest of your feedback.

I think what went well with my sound task is that I successfully managed to ace the parallel side of the first 30 secs of my video and that I managed to match to the beat as well in my sound video. What I could have done better was that for the contrapuntal sound of the side I should have made it way more opposite and more funny as I felt like I didn't manage to successfully get the right response from my audience when the other 30 secs of my video came up on sound.

4) Learner response: compare your own video against your evaluation of the top three videos in the class. Whose did you think was best and why? How could you have improved your own video?
Top 3:
1) Anas
2) Matas
3) Cassius

I think Cassius had the best sound video as he used a combination of funny videos at the right times in his video which then he successfully managed to get the right response out from his audience.

5) Finally, what have you learned about the importance of sound to film and TV through this week's work?

Sound plays a big part in TV as it helps set the scene adding depth and texture to the narrative ensuring the audience understands what their watching. It also helps the story unfold and makes the readers question or even predict what happens next using the choice of sound.
